Eco Travel Shop Ltd
These Booking Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Eco Travel Shop Ltd (“Eco Travel Shop”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By making a booking with us, the person making the booking confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these Booking Terms & Conditions on behalf of themselves and all members of their travelling party.
Where a booking is made online, completion of the booking and payment constitutes acceptance of these Booking Terms & Conditions. Company Registration Number 11411137.
Eco Travel Shop Ltd may act as a tour operator, package organiser, travel agent or booking agent depending on the nature of the travel arrangements booked.
Some travel services are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including airlines, hotels, cruise operators, transfer companies, excursion providers and other local service providers.
The exact role of Eco Travel Shop will depend on the arrangements included in your booking and will be confirmed in your booking documentation where appropriate.
A booking becomes confirmed once the required payment has been received and written booking confirmation has been issued.
The person making the booking confirms that they have authority to make the booking on behalf of all travellers included in it and accepts these Booking Terms & Conditions on their behalf.
Please check your booking confirmation carefully and notify us immediately if any information is incorrect.
The price of your travel arrangements will be confirmed at the time of booking.
A deposit may be required to secure the booking. The remaining balance must be paid by the due date stated on your booking confirmation.
Failure to pay the balance by the required date may result in cancellation of the booking and applicable cancellation charges.
Additional services, upgrades, excursions, transfers or other arrangements requested after booking may incur additional charges.
It is the traveller's responsibility to ensure that all members of the travelling party hold valid passports, visas, permits and other documents required for the journey.
We are not responsible for costs or losses resulting from inadequate, invalid or missing travel documentation.
Travellers should check the applicable entry, visa and transit requirements for their nationality before travelling.
Where flights are included, flight schedules, airlines, aircraft, routes and operating arrangements are subject to change.
Flight times are provided by the relevant airline and may be changed for operational, safety, weather or other reasons.
Travellers are responsible for checking their flight information, check-in requirements and baggage allowances.
Unless expressly confirmed otherwise, flight schedules and connection times are not guaranteed.
Airport transfers and other ground transportation may be provided by independent third-party transport providers.
Any collection time and estimated journey time provided for a transfer is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of arrival at the airport or other destination by a particular time.
Journey times may be affected by traffic congestion, road accidents, road closures, diversions, roadworks, weather, emergency situations and other circumstances outside the reasonable control of Eco Travel Shop and/or the transfer provider.
Travellers are responsible for allowing sufficient time for the transfer, airport check-in, baggage procedures, security, immigration and boarding.
A scheduled transfer collection time does not constitute a guarantee that a traveller will arrive at the airport by a particular time or will be able to board a particular flight.
Where requested, travellers must reconfirm their transfer directly with the transfer provider using the contact details supplied.
If a traveller becomes aware of a significant delay, traffic problem or other issue affecting their transfer, they must contact the transfer provider and/or Eco Travel Shop as soon as reasonably possible so that assistance can be considered.
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights which cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Travel services may be provided by independent suppliers and may be subject to their own terms and conditions.
This includes, without limitation, airlines, hotels, cruise operators, transfer companies, excursion providers and other local suppliers.
Where applicable, the supplier's terms and conditions will also form part of the arrangements booked.
We strongly recommend that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance immediately after making their booking.
Travel insurance should provide appropriate cover for cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, repatriation, travel delays, missed departures, additional accommodation and transportation costs, personal belongings and other risks relevant to the trip.
Travellers are responsible for checking that their insurance provides adequate cover for their individual circumstances, destination and planned activities.
We strongly recommend arranging travel insurance at the time of booking and before making any non-refundable travel arrangements.
The absence of travel insurance does not remove any statutory rights which apply to your booking. However, travellers remain responsible for any risks or expenses which are not covered by their insurance or otherwise recoverable under the applicable booking terms and law.
Special requests, including particular rooms, beds, cabins, dietary requirements, accessibility requirements or other preferences, must be communicated at the time of booking.
We will pass reasonable requests to the relevant supplier but cannot guarantee a special request unless it has been expressly confirmed in writing.
Travellers must inform us of any medical, mobility, dietary or other requirements which may affect the suitability or provision of the travel arrangements.
Where necessary, travellers should obtain appropriate medical advice before travelling.
We cannot accept responsibility for difficulties arising from requirements or conditions which were not disclosed to us or the relevant supplier in sufficient time.
Requests to change a confirmed booking are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Certain travel arrangements, including flights, cruises, hotels and special fares, may be non-changeable or non-refundable.
Any applicable charges will be communicated where reasonably possible before a requested change is confirmed.
If you cancel your booking, cancellation charges may apply in accordance with the applicable booking and supplier conditions.
Some travel services may be non-refundable from the date of booking.
The applicable cancellation terms will be communicated in your booking confirmation or other booking documentation where applicable.
We strongly recommend that travellers obtain suitable travel insurance to protect against unforeseen circumstances.
In certain circumstances, we or the relevant supplier may need to make changes to or cancel travel arrangements.
Where this occurs, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and provide any rights, alternatives or remedies available under the applicable booking conditions and law.
We shall not be responsible for compensation or additional costs to the extent that applicable law provides an exception for unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances.
These are circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the party relying on them, the consequences of which could not reasonably have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.
Depending on the circumstances, such events may include serious natural disasters, war, significant civil unrest, major security incidents, certain industrial disputes, major transport disruption and other exceptional events satisfying the applicable legal test.
The application of this provision will depend on the specific circumstances and applicable law.
Travel arrangements may be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including traffic, accidents, transport disruption, weather, technical problems, strikes, airport disruption, operational changes and other unforeseen events.
Travellers must take reasonable steps to minimise avoidable loss or additional expense.
Where a problem occurs, travellers should contact us or the relevant supplier as soon as reasonably possible before making significant additional arrangements or expenditure, where reasonably practicable.
Additional expenses incurred without giving us or the relevant supplier a reasonable opportunity to assist may not automatically be recoverable.
If a traveller experiences a problem during the trip, the problem must be reported to the relevant supplier and/or Eco Travel Shop as soon as reasonably possible.
Where Eco Travel Shop is the organiser of a package, we are responsible for the performance of the travel services forming part of that package to the extent required by applicable law.
Where services are provided by independent suppliers, claims will be assessed having regard to the circumstances, the services concerned, the actions taken by the relevant parties and applicable law.
We will not be responsible for losses which are not reasonably foreseeable, are not caused by a failure to perform the applicable contractual obligations, or are otherwise excluded or limited by applicable law.
Nothing in these Booking Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability which cannot legally be excluded or restricted.
Travellers are responsible for:
We take reasonable care to ensure that information provided to customers is accurate at the time it is supplied.
However, travel information, facilities, schedules, prices and operational arrangements may change and may be amended by suppliers.
Photographs and descriptions are provided as a general indication and may not always represent the exact room, vehicle, vessel or facility allocated.
Personal information will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.
Where necessary to provide the booked services, personal information may be shared with airlines, hotels, cruise operators, transfer companies, insurance providers and other relevant suppliers.
Where applicable, qualifying air-inclusive travel arrangements may be financially protected under the ATOL scheme operated by the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
ATOL protection provides financial protection in the event of certain failures of an ATOL-protected travel company. It is not travel insurance and does not provide cover for ordinary travel delays, missed flights, personal expenses or service complaints.
Where ATOL protection applies, the appropriate ATOL documentation will be provided in accordance with applicable requirements. We are a fully licensed and bonded tour operator. We hold ATOL license # 11472, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA). ATOL – which is short for ‘Air Travel Organisers Licensing’ – exists to protect you, the customer, from losing money or being stranded abroad because of the failure of a travel firm or airline.
Where a booking constitutes a package under applicable legislation, your statutory rights under the Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018, as amended from time to time, will apply.
Nothing in these Booking Terms & Conditions is intended to remove or restrict any mandatory statutory right or remedy.
We aim to resolve complaints fairly and promptly.
Customers should first raise any problem with us or the relevant supplier during the trip wherever reasonably possible.
If the matter remains unresolved, a written complaint should be submitted as soon as reasonably practicable after the trip, together with relevant supporting information.
We will review the complaint and respond in accordance with the applicable booking conditions and law.
These Booking Terms & Conditions and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
If any provision of these Booking Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
These Booking Terms & Conditions, together with your booking confirmation and any specific terms communicated to you in writing, form the basis of your booking contract.
By making a booking with Eco Travel Shop Ltd, you confirm that you have had the opportunity to read and understand these Booking Terms & Conditions and agree to be bound by them.
